CASE STUDY
Opening of City Gallery's Exhibition
Client: Ernst
& Young
Theme: The artists work.
Venue: City Gallery - Wellington
The Brief: To create themeing that would complement the
art work in the exhibition.
The Challenge: To design 12 unique and clever centerpieces
that reflect the two artists at this International Exhibition by Micheal
Smither’s and Patricia Piccinini.
The Outcome: The challenge was to find common
ground between the two artists whose work and mediums differed greatly. We created centerpieces containing paintbrushes,
suspended over mirror plates with the paintings name applied on its surface.
Lighting attached to a floating glass plate gave an ethereal quality and
each centerpiece used unique elements from the particular
artwork.
